PUBLIC CONTENT POLICY · VERSION 1.0

A clear label for every kind of content.

ICPC University distinguishes official ICPC material from committee-approved maps, externally curated destinations, and community submissions. “Verified” means the destination and metadata were checked on the date shown; it does not transfer ownership or certify every claim on a third-party site.

Accountable roles

The ICPC U content team owns the commons interface and catalog. The ICPC Curriculum Committee owns approved curriculum maps. Event organizers own schedules and eligibility at the linked official source.

Required metadata

Managed records carry an owner role, source URL, publication status, last-reviewed date, next review, license/access notes, and language tags. Records missing required metadata cannot be labeled verified.

Review cadence

  • Active events: at least every 14 days.
  • External links and resources: every 90 days.
  • Evergreen curriculum: every 180 days or after committee revision.

Stale items are flagged, corrected, archived, or unpublished.

Corrections

Broken links, accessibility barriers, factual corrections, and resource proposals use the public feedback route. Material changes are recorded with the date, affected item, and concise summary.

Licensing and attribution

External problem statements, editorials, video, and course material remain with their source owners unless a recorded license permits reuse. The commons links and attributes by default.

Languages and translations

Resources use BCP-47 language tags. Native-language review is preferred; machine-assisted translations must be labeled and cannot be presented as human-reviewed.
